Welcome to Louisiana CoCoRaHS! Louisiana is proud to become a member of the CoCoRaHS weather observer program since 2007. CoCoRaHS was formed in 1998 in Colorado (20 Year History) and has since rapidly expanded across the United States and other countries. The network is designed for volunteers from all walks-of-life including YOU! The only requirements are you have a sincere love for weather observing and a small amount of dedicated time to report weather conditions at your station. The only equipment necessary will be a small 11" capacity rain gauge that you can purchase for around $42 (plus shipping) at various weather instrument vendors.
