Notes
The 2025 Gulf Coast Snowstorm resulted in the greatest snowfall in Galveston County since the 2004 Christmas Eve/Christmas Day Snowstorm. A mixture of freezing rain and ice pellets (sleet) during the pre-dawn hours resulted in 0.4 inch accumulation with a trace on the ground at sunrise. As temperatures fell into the upper 20s, the mixed precipitation changed to all snow, heavy at times between 0700 and 1200. A total of 2.8 inches of all snow combined with the aforementioned 0.4 to produce a total snow and ice measurement of 3.2 inches. Average ground depth was 3 inches although strong N to NE winds gusting over 30 mph resulted in some small drifts of 4 to 6 inches.
