Notes
-13 below. Calm. Clear sky. Bright moon. Noticed a lot of moisture within the snow itself. Lots of hail looking particles as a lot were clear/transparent, especially within that 1/2" at grass level. A lot of air between the ice particles within that iced layer. The heat from the sun and compression of the snow from the sunny days and now that the sun is getting closer, the heat of the earth. My Core Sample from today's reading did have an icy layer around 1/2" in it from the lowest level of snow at grass level. Happy Valentines Day to everyone in CoCoRaHS, NNWS & NOAA.
