The springs have almost stopped flowing. One branch of the creek has dried up, barely even muddy. The creek flow is low, the waterfall a trickle.

The greens in the garden are in need of watering. Mulching has helped retain moisture. The 13  newly planted hazelnut trees, too, needed watering this week.

The fuyu persimmons are turning bright orange and some have been eaten by wildlife in spite of a net over the tree. The Arkansas black apples are ripe and delicious. The old apple tree continues to be loaded with apples which are getting sweeter and juicier, excellent eating and cooking apples.
