Another week with hald an inch of rain...enough to lift spirits, not enough to change the conditions. The cool weather has helped moisture loss, and dormancy has made plant demand low, but fire danged rises and falls on an almost daily basis. Almost all decidious trees have lost their foliage (oaks are still hanging on!) and with the first frosts, sensitive plants are dying back. No additions to the local lakes, so water concerns remain in place.
