Station Name: Leon Valley 3.3 N
Report Date: 2/1/2023
Submitted: 2/01/2023 4:22 PM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
For the month of January, 0.68 inch of rain was reported in the San Antonio area (1.68 inches at rain station gauge). This is 1.28 inches less than the January historical average of 1.96 inches. The lack of rainfall created moderately dry conditions, resulting in more landscape watering and less water available for plants and wildlife. Wildfire threats were low. The Edwards Aquifer levels ranged from 635.60-637.61 feet with a monthly average of 636.5 feet. The historical January average is 670.0 feet. Stage 2 watering restrictions remained in effect for the month in the San Antonio area. Average low and high temperatures were 45 and 65 degrees, respectively with a monthly high and low of 82 and 31 degrees, respectively. Energy costs were moderate due to heating needs for lower temperatures.
